Midwives: Your best CEUs

I am planning out my CEU opportunities coming up. I want to really gain as much as possible from my time away to get CEUs. I don't mean gain as many CEUs as possible, but really have them worth while. I want to feel like I am coming away having really learned something great that will benefit my practice. What CEUs have you loved gaining? What did you not love? What did you learn the most from?

So far, my list includes taking ALSO, which I think would be amazing. I am open to other things as well!!

Subbing because I'm also interested!

I am going to the ICAN conference but don't even know how many CEUs are available... just going because it is cheap, within driving distance and sure to be a great experience.  :)  IIRC, Henci Goer will be there.

When and where is this conference?

I am also looking for conferences/workshops that are held in awesome locations so that I can take a family vacation at the same time. Two birds with one stone ;)

As far as online CEUs, I am thinking about BEST and Gail Tully's Shoulder Dystocia online course as well.

I run a small birth clinic in Northern Uganda. We offer CEUs for student midwives. You get all sorts of experience- twins, breeches, etc. It's a trek but you get a lot out of it! www.earth-birth.com.

Also we are having an international midwifery conference in September and will have lots of CEU opportunities there.

I think the best way for you to get CEU's is to meet a midwife from North Carolina at a conference....
