Ring sling with no ring-- just tied in a knot-- pattern??

Any online patterns or ideas for a ring-sling-style carrier that just ties?  I just want to knot it and throw a baby into it, but I want it to be safe (and cute).  Any help?

What you are looking for is a Rebozo. No real pattern is involved as it's just a short piece of cloth, usually around 2.7 m hemmed with tapers, fringe, whatever you'd like. The important thing from a safety perspective is that you choose appropriate fabric. Picking the right fabric will also ensure you have a good, comfortanle carrier for you and baby. The Baby Wearer forum has a DIY section full of mama's who make their own carriers and I bet you could find all the information you needed there.
