Was happy w/ stash, but looking for a trimmer diaper

I've been using Mother-ease fitteds and covers, which I love for several reasons, but they are a bit bulky. The covers seem to bunch up near the waste when she wears pants and the extra sticks out the top.

Can you recommend a trimmer, slimmer fitting diaper for my 7.5 mo old, 23 lb. DD with some chubby legs? I'd prefer an AIO for the ease of use (we are into the squirmy stage while changing) but would gladly do another kind of diaper if it fits the above criteria. Oh, and she is a pretty heavy wetter from what I can tell.

i've found GMD prefolds to be very trim.  close to disposies.  i love my ME airflow and would blame the fitted diaper for the bulk.

Sounds like you just need to try a different cover.

Something to keep in mind, particularly when you're discussing fitteds, to get trimness you sacrifice absorbency.

I'll also point out that most baby clothes are not cut to cover bulky cds, so other than dresses or overalls, you're liable to have some cd showing.

All that being said, my Rumparooz are the lowest rise dipe w the most absorbency. They're a OS pocket w internal gussets to contain poo. I keep them snapped down so they're pretty low rise on my guy, they sit under his belly. But they are bulky when stuffed w both inserts.

His trimmest dipes at this point are the new style Dream-Eze (white w black snaps). They're all around trim with good absorbency, but they're a fitted. Definitely not my favorite, but a good solid dipe.

But then you need a trim cover over it, and pretty much none of the OScovers are going to fit that bill. I really like my Imse Vimse, but find them to run big, so i'd size down. Or you can get a custom cover, i have a wool one from Pipers Closet that I love. Or of course you could ditch the cover and the pants alltogether and put her in longies. Kozy wool makes theirs to order, so custom sizes are easy and you can get any color/design combo you want. I buy them through a co-op for a good price.

Dream-Eze fitteds are trim and so is their AIO. I believe they discontinued making them though. You can still find the AIOs at http://www.jilliansdrawers.com in their used diapers section for a decent price. I have them and like them. They are decently absorbent though a doubler is helpful. With the trim AIO though, you need a trim doubler. I sometimes put a couple folded over cloth wipes as a doubler.

The company is the same company that manufactures grovia. The grovia AIO is very similar to the old Dream-eze AIO but it's a one-size. I've read that it is trim too though.

You might try using Snugglebottoms fitted diapers, we absolutely love them and they're so affordable  http://www.babybunz.com/Snugglebottoms-Velcro.html They're trim, absorbent, and come either with or without Velcro closures, which is a really nice option. The only time we use the Velcro ones is when we pair them with a pull-on cover like Bummis Whisper Pants. For the rest of our covers that close with Velcro (we find Nikkys to be our trimmest covers, also from Baby Bunz http://www.babybunz.com/) the plain non-Velcro Snugglebottoms work great --and those are even less expensive. We've used Snugglebottoms for years now and highly recommend them, and Baby Bunz is a great company too---so friendly and helpful.

For our heavy wetter, the Hemp/Cotton & Poly Fleece Doublers worked great with our Snugglebottoms: http://www.babybunz.com/Organic-Hemp-Cotton-Poly-Fleece-Doublers.html
