Hi! I'm putting together a vbac birthart class. A little about me: I have been trained as a doula but not certified. I've had 3 vbacs at home. And I'm at the stage in my life and my children's lives where I'm ready to get back into birthwork. So one of my first things I want to do is this class. I've got four classes in mind with the following topics; Healing Birth Trauma, Finding Your Power, Nurturing Yourself and Your Family, and Opening.

Every week I help a local doula friend out with office work in exchange for advice and mentoring. She kindly looked over my class notes and suggested I add a class that covered the logistics to getting a vbac. Mainly stuff like tips for a hospital birth, statistics about interventions (when they are helpful and when not), ect. Now, having had my vbacs at home, I don't have a clue about that.

So I'm wondering if I should: A) Put in a class about logistics of vbac, or  B) assume the people in that class will have that covered on their own.

So, people of the healing Birth Trauma group. What do you think? What would you like to see in a VBAC birthart class?

Basically each class will have art projects (easy and short) and journaling around the topic at hand. Sharing our stories, ect. Some pain coping techniques, snacks, and socializing.

Thanks for your advice wise women!
