Anterior Placeta - Will I Feel Movement Later?

This is my first experience with having an anterior placenta.  First mentioned at the 12 weeks, then again at this past scan at 16 weeks.  I'm guessing this will affect movement feelings?  That sucks!  I'm 16.5 weeks and was hoping for something soon, but I'm guessing it will be longer....  With my first I felt pretty strong movement at 20 weeks.  With my second, I wouldn't even call it until I felt it and dh felt it on the outside and that was 20 weeks as well.  I have felt fluttery movement, but it is VERY hard for me to tell only because I have a chronic disease that causes widespread muscle twitching, so I feel baby kicks often even when I'm not pregnant!

I had an anterior placenta with my last pregnancy and I started feeling movement around 16 weeks, but not on a daily basis. I don't remember when we could feel the baby from the outside because my husband was overseas until I was about 28 weeks. I also had two amniotic sacs, so I think that affected feeling movement from the outside also.

I had an anterior placenta during my last three pregnancies.  I didn't feel movement until pretty late.  Maybe at least 20 weeks?  I am really tiny too so that always surprised people.  I also didn't feel movement very often.  Not much at all until towards the end when the baby is huge and your whole belly moves when they readjust themselves lol.  Many times I would freak out because many hours or days would go by and I hadn't felt movement.  Even up until the very end of the pregnancies.  So my biggest suggestion to you would be to buy a doppler or something to check the heartbeat yourself.  It will possibly save you a lot of stress and trips to the midwife/hospital to check things out.

I've only had anterior placentas.  It's a pain.  I've felt movement around 19/20.  I keep hoping that I'll feel it earlier this time and wondering if tiny things I feel are maybe little kicks, but I think they're just gas bubbles.  On the plus side, I've never been kept awake at night by the movement or found it annoying in any way, and a lot of people refer to that, particularly late in pregnancy.  So maybe the dulling effect of the placenta placement has benefits, too.
