any twins yet? - Page 2

wave.gif Me, I am having twins. We did IVF in 2008 and had 2 frozen embryos left, so we transfered both. And both were sticky. I have not offically joined a DDC. My due date is Oct 2nd, but I have a feeling I won't last that long. I called today to make my first OB appt, and they told me they won't see me until I am 14 weeks, which to me seems a little late in the game. Thankfully I am still being seen by my RE, or else I would be looking for a new OB. I will see how the first appt goes, and go from there. Hope other mammas join me in this journey.

Thanks for all the Congrats!! We are pretty darn excited. Nervous, but excited as well. I am worrited how our son will handle having to share Mommy and Daddy with not one, but 2 siblings.

That U/S pic was taken on 2/14 and I was 7w1d. I go in on Friday 2/25 for another U/S to check on a Hematoma next to Baby B. Hopefully everything will be fine and we will still have 2 hearts beating away.

Congrats Kristina and starlit!

My grandmother had a set of twins so I guess there is a chance that I'll have twins, buy I doubt it. She was older and it was her 8th pregnancy so I imagine that has something to do with it

Funny story though, on the ddc I was on with dd (on a different board) someone had surprise twins! She had an u/s and heartbeat checks but apparently it is possible for a twin to hide! She delivered her first and then wasn't delivering the placenta and when her midwife went to check she found another head! Freaked the rest of us who hadn't delivered yet that we'd have twins too!

LOL! Yikes!

I had been teasing dh about twins so much before our ultrasound that he already knew what to look for when they did it (he was looking for two big black blobs). When they did my ultrasound the dr was moving it around really quickly until he settled on a black blob, then zoomed in, moved it around and found the baby in it. Afterward, dh tells me "did you see that other black blob when they first put in the ultrasound? There was another black blob but the dr went in the other direction". DH did ask the dr "what was that over there" and he said "oh, probably just a cyst" but never went to investigate. I am 99% sure it was not another baby, but if I go to the 20 week ultrasound and there's another baby then dh is going to freak! The dr did really concentrate on the area around the one baby, zooming out and moving it around to see exactly where in the uterus it was implanted (he showed us where my uterus is different than a typical uterus since I have a bicornuate uterus) but in all that he never went back to the first black blob that dh saw. But, like I said, I'm 99% sure there's only 1 baby in there!
