Baby Safe MIrror in Playroom

Thread Starter

DS loveslovesloves looking at himself in mirrors. Today I bought a full length closet mirror and leaned it against the cash register as I paid. Caden wouldn't smile or greet the cashiers (he's getting in that shy stage!) as he was sitting in the cart, but he caught a glimpse of his reflection in the mirror and was just laughing his head off!!

Anyway, I need advice for hanging a mirror low on a wall in his playroom. I have a beveled mirror I'm going to use unless anyone says otherwise. Edges are not sharp at all, we'll hang it sturdily. What if it breaks one day? I can just imagine toys flying in that room, hitting the mirror, breaking it, and injury resulting if I'm not around. But then I'm a but overly paranoid and protective of my babe!!! I know he'd love a mirror on his level so much though.....

Thoughts?

i just bought one of the cheap full-length ones at target. i don't even think they're made of glass so anchored to a wall, especially, i don't see it breaking.

Most of the mirrors you get for cheap at Target/Walmart/etc are plastic anyway; I wouldn't imagine that they would be problematic. We did some cute ones on the wall behind the changing table though-- they're star shaped! They didn't stick all that well to our walls, but some blue tak fixed that!

I bought a stick-on mirror and put these on the front of my daughter's dresser.  It's not as good as a real mirror but very close!  It sticks on and will never break.  Highly recommend, though it seems like it's currently unavailable at least on amazon.
