Dilated Pupils?

Just curious if anyone's kiddo is like this. DS has dilated pupils, pretty much all the time (anytime I look at them they're dilated). It's almost to the point where you can't see any color in his eyes anymore. It's been like this for awhile. Yesterday at his OT she commented on it again (she's noticed it before but she hasn't seen him in about a month so I guess it startled her to see it again).

I've googled but I'm not finding much on my quick search. He's not on any medications or anything like that.

I would take him to see a pediatric opthamologist ASAP and see what they think. Have you noticed whether his pupils change in bright light or not?

Um, triple ditto.  Especially with his sensory issues (permenately dilated pupils likely causes a headache, especially in bright lights.  I had to have my pupils dilated for an eye exam, and even with sunglasses, my eyes burned to the point of a migraine when I walked into the sun like that).  And especially due to his family history of eye problems...on both sides of his family (I have had surgery for a partially detatched retina, and we all have astygmatism problems, and then O's bio dad has eye issues).

But if his pupils are dilated a lot recently PLUS his behavior issues have gone up, I would really want to investigate that.  He might have one heck of a headache--pupils get smaller to keep too much light out and get bigger to let more light in.  Too much light in = major major headache.

Does his eye look like the first picture? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mydriasis
