Mothering article re: "volunteer vacations"...

Ok, so I have given all of my old Mothering mags to my SIL and can't find an article online. The article was in a Mothering magazine within the last couple of yrs. It featured a family (with, i believe, 2 kids) who traveled to (I think) Costa Rica and volunteered / worked on a family's farm as part of their vacation.

I am looking for some of the websites referenced in that article....anyone know what I'm talking about or can link me to that article?

I am sure I have it- I saved all my issues and I remember that article well. I will look for it in the morning because they are in my sleeping daughter's room. I could scan it in and link it to a pm (I think!).

these are vacation ideas. i think volunteer family is an actual group that sets up the vacations by acting as the middle man.

blumooned - yes, yes, yes! that is the exact article and the references! Thank you sooo much! Not only had I given all of my mags to SIL, but the computer we had at the time - with which I had bookmarked many, many pages - crashed (motherboard went out...it was only TWO yrs old!! :(
