Ortho-Tain for correcting overbite

Has anyone had experience with Ortho-Tain, an orthodontic treatment device? Here's the website for reference http://www.orthotain.com/

I'm looking for success or failure stories regarding the use of Ortho-Tain to correct overbite. Our family dentist recommended that our nine year-old son get examined and fitted for this device to correct his overbite. I'm doing research first before I shell out thousands of dollars. 

I tried googling Ortho-Tain but didn't find any reviews with good or bad outcomes. The only thing I found is the website mentioned above. 

So, if anyone has any information or personal experience with Ortho-Tain, I would greatly appreciate hearing about it. I'd like to be as informed as possible before making a decision. Thanks so much in advance to those who reply!
