TF and my family's health--a little testimonial!

I have realized for a long time that my kids and I have gotten sick much less often since we started following a TF diet, but I actually stopped and thought about how long it's been since my kids have been to the doctor for an illness and was really shocked. It's literally been years! I remember all three of them having ear infections at least once or twice when they were babies or toddlers, but none of them have had even one ear infection since that time. I know I personally used to catch colds all the time, often one right on top of another, and now the only full-blown cold I've had in recent years was during my last pregnancy. The real kicker, though, is that a few weeks ago my husband came down with the flu. When the doctor called to tell him that he had tested positive for the flu he said that the kids and I would really only have a chance at avoiding catching it if we could get out of the house for a couple of days. Of course, that wasn't possible, and I knew it was too late for me anyway. I had kissed my husband that morning, so I figured I was done for. But not one of us ended up catching it ourselves. I did have a slight fever and a runny nose for a day or two, so I may have been "trying" to get it, but nothing came of it. After that, my husband finally admitted that perhaps my ideas about nutrition and my insistence on being "all-natural" are not so crazy after all. I about fell over the other day when I overheard him telling his friend that "Our kids never get sick because of the way my wife feeds them"!

So I just thought I'd share!

I should add that we are definitely not 100% perfect by any means. I generally shoot for a good 80% of TF eating, and even at that level we are seeing major results.

That's awesome! My family had the same experience. Often sick, going to the doctor, to years of no illness. I bet you especially feel good about your husband's praise and how he's come round - I would. smile.gif

What a great testimonial!  Especially what your husband said about you to his friend, that must have been wonderful to hear!
