Nursing an allergic toddler while pregnant...HELP!

I need some help here.  My DS (allergic to dairy, egg, soy, peanut, etc) has been BF since birth.  He is 2.5 yrs old and I just found out I am pregnant (about 8 weeks).  I had removed all allergans from my diet when we discovered DS's allergies but I am not getting worried because I am pregnant and feel like I need some of those proteins back. I relied on egg and yogurt when I was pregnant with DS.  Has anyone dealt with this? I am in the process of weaning him during the night and hope to fully wean him soon as I do not want to tandem.  I just don't know what to do because my "morning" sickness makes me have no appetite and I want to be sure I am getting a balanced diet...Should I try to reintroduce foods into my diet and see how he does with it?  I am just so nervous to do that since we've come a long way figuring it all out!irked.gif

That's rough, giving up so many foods for nursing, I know!  As long as you can continue to nurse, I'd still try to stay away from the your ds's allergies.  For a probiotic you could try coconut milk yogurt or dairy/soy-free probiotic supplements.  Of course it's all personal choice, but you can find other good protein sources. I'm pregnant and actually personally don't do well with eggs, so as bad as this may sound, I eat a strip of no-nitrites-added bacon in the morning. At any rate, I'd be interested to hear what you decide to do and how it all works out.  We grapple with the same thing since my 22mo is allergic to milk, and still nursing (although my milk is drying up w/ this pregnancy :-( ).
