Please help. My friend is not allowed to pump at work?! - Page 2

If she is a LMT she should have a lot more flexibility with where she works. Maybe she should just find a spa that is more flexible.  Or go into business for her self.

Its crappy that a spa would be so lame.  Most spas are hippy granola places.  But to not let a mom pump is crazy.  All they would have to do is schedule her massages with a 30-40 min break between them.  I doubt they are paying her by the hour - they are probably paying her per massage or a percentage of each spa treatment so its not like they would have to worry about giving her paid breaks.

Anyway - I would love to know what spa she works at so I could avoid them like the plague.  I live in NM and would hate to give them my money.

I'm not sure of the name. I pm'ed her so hopefully she'll tell me. I'm unsure if she's annoyed that I won't drop this lol. I'm more bothered by it than she is.

She works at Tropical Minnesota . Boycotting is fine but she asks that no one call them or anything becuase she really needs the job and wouldn't be able to handle the added stress. Thanks. :)

It's a tanning salon? I won't call of course. She should think of finding a spa or salon to work for though. They might be more flexible.

I think so.

Yeah she says it's hard to find work, plus it's crappy jumping from job to job. Every job has it's ups and downs so she's toughing it out. I was really hoping we could find something to make them let her pump but I guess she's stuck. :(

I just googled "Tropical Minnestota" and the website that comes up is for Hopkins, MN, as in Minnesota, not NM which is New Mexico. The links to laws above are to New Mexico. So if you really meant Minnesota maybe someone can post their laws.
