Anyone else have perineal pain for this long 5 weeks pp, with no tear or epi? Â It burns when I urinate and is sooo tender, I have to be careful when sitting or lying down.

Yes. I had two tiny tears that didn't require stitches. I used the peri bottle and herb concoction for about 6 weeks. I had burning and trouble sitting certain ways for almost 8 weeks. My midwife said that she expects small tears without stitches to take about 90 days to heal fully, so I just chalked it up to that.
thank you! Â i had a home birth also and was in such a state of ...? Â after the birth that I told my midwife I didn't need to be checked for tears, I was so sure I hadn't any. Â I didn't, but perhaps a tiny one like yours that may not be apparent to my layman's eye. Â Keep meaning to have her check it but getting out of the house with my LO is still quite an ordeal. Â She works in a low income clinic and has three LOs of her own, so is quite busy and I don't want to ask a home visit from her if not necessary. Â I'm glad to hear your comment(NOT glad you had pain) so that I know I'm not the only one!
