5 mo ghost chewing

Have any of you seen this before? My 5mo DD is opening and closing her mouth like she's chewing gum. Is it teething-related? I'm not really concerned, just curious what the heck she's doing.

My DD does a version of that and it seems to be teething related.

My son does that when he watches us eat. I think it's either teething related (because he has that going on too) or "Hey, I want to be like you guys. What is this jaw movement thing about?"

Both my girls did/ do that.  Teething related for us.

All of my kids have done this, I think it is a combination of teething, mimicing, and becoming aware of the different and fun things a person can do with their body smile.gif

My 3 month old just started doing this, which reminded me that my older DD did the same thing.
