My husband and I are at loggerheads over vaccinating our 6 month old.
Â
He got the full dose of 2 month vaccines at 3 months (I stalled). He had a fever and was cranky for 8 days afterwards. At 5 months, he got Pediarix only, and was less cranky and fevered, but it still lasted 8 days; he also got a bad cough. These reactions concern me; I am afraid it indicates that maybe these vaccines will have adverse long term effects on my child.
Â
So while my intuition and the scattershot research I have been able to do as a new mom tell me "enough," give this child's immune system a break, my husband does not agree. If we could get a test that would show that he now has high enough levels of immunities from the rounds of shots he has gotten, I think my husband would agree to slow down the vaccine schedule until he is at least bigger, and can better tolerate all the substances he is subjected to in a shot.
Â
My husband is a stickler for references and mainstream science--and I can't find enough information to get him to ease up. Â I am very afraid of Isaac getting an allergy or other negative, chronic, auto-immune reaction from the aluminum and other substances in vaccines.
Â
Can anyone at least speak to the experience of titering, to find out what a baby's immunity levels are? Is that even what it's called? What does it entail?Â
Â
Thank you so much.

This forum is full of information, but it is also hard to get time to read carefully all of the things I would like to explore, so forgive me if this is a repeat question.
