I brought my daughters a really cool unfinished wood dollhouse from Plan toys with all the furniture, dolls etc.

The only problem is they keep coloring on it with crayon. And call me uncool, but it drives me crazy. No amount of reinforcing the idea that we color on paper will cease the coloring. I really loved the unfinished nature of the toy, but it looks like crap with scribbles all over.

So my solution is to paint it - that way, at least if they color on it, it will be more likely to come off. The only way to remove the crayon marks they have made is to sand it, which is a tedious (at best) task.

So what is good brand/type of paint to use on this? I'm looking for something non toxic and hopefully resistant to chipping. If any one else has done something similar, any tips are greatly appreciated! I am eager to start this b/c this is really becoming an issue!
