Itchiness cures?

Thread Starter

Anyone know any reasons or cures for itchiness? I am not sure why I get itchy sometimes, but it usually comes at night before bed...

I think it might be diet related bc

1. I do not use harsh chemicals in my home, laundry, or body care.

2. I tend to eat fairly well, but have become sensitive to a lot of foods lately

Anyways... I think it might be because I don't shave much and when I do it itches for weeks for the hair to grow back? Or because I am having a candida die off from eating junk, then eating better?

Whatever the reason, I was looking for a remedy for when it comes and goes. Any help?

If it is yeast, you can use plain yogurt topically on your labia and surrounding areas for some relief and take probiotics. If you are pretty sure it's not, the best thing I have found for transient itchiness is the Earth Mama Angel Baby bottom balm. I put a little on at night and it helps tremendously - I have issues all the time so I have tried many things and been misdiagnosed soooooo many times!! Wild yam cream can help, too. I used this for a long time but ran out and discovered the EMAB stuff works just as well.

Good luck!

well I should have specified that the itchiness is more on my legs and body. Will that EMAB work on my body? Can you get it at wholefoods?

I like to use unrefined shea butter.  You might be able to get it at whole foods but it would probably be a lot more expensive than if you were to get it online :)

For the body, I use pure almond oil. I am sure you could get that at Whole Foods!

I also wanted to mention, if you think it might be yeast related, coconut oil is good for yeast and I could see it being soothing for your skin.
