Gift making - books and blogs?

I'm interested in some ideas for making gifts out of stuff around the house, reused stuff, repurposed stuff, or original handmade gifts. I'm sooooo done with store-bought, brand-name, heavily-packaged, mainstream crap!  I want to make unique, sustainable gifts to give next holidays (that's right, never too early to start thinking about it, especially if I want to make it myself!).

Does anyone have any great books or blogs they can recommend, for ideas?  I'm looking for clothing, housewares, toys and kid stuff, and consumables (food and otherwise).

have you seen craftster.org?  there are a billion tutorials there and every category you mentioned...
