Great movies I saw recently.  Have you seen them?  What did you think?

I liked Scott Pilgrim versus the world. I did not really expect to - but it was sweet and good.

I have not seen "Mr. Fox...."

We just saw The Fantastic Mr. Fox and loved it : ) We really enjoy Wes Anderson films

We love Fantastic Mr Fox!  My kids think it's hilarious to ask each other "you cussing at me?"

We haven't seen Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

We all liked Fantastic Mr. Fox. 

I haven't seen Scott Pilgrim yet, but my teens liked it. They like most Michael Cera movies. They also love the books - more than the film, I think.  DD has the first 2 in the series, and she'll probably get a few more for her birthday which is coming up in the spring.

My kids and I watched "Fantastic Mr. Fox" in a theater with another mom and her son. The kids sat quietly during the movie, but didn't talk much about it or show interest afterward. My friend and I loved it. Even though it is PG rated and animated, we thought it may hold more appeal to adults since it seems greatly about a man going through a mid-life crisis. The kids didn't relate as much to the protagonist.

I've never heard of Scott Pilgrim vs the World.

LOVE Fantastic Mr. Fox!  Saw it in the theater (date night, of course) and it was on HBO a lot recently and enjoyed rewatching it multiple times.  I've been a Wes Anderson fan for quite some time and this felt very much like a Wes Anderson movie.  DS, who's only 2.5 yrs, enjoyed watching it, too...though I think most of it went over his head.

Recently saw Scott Pilgrim vs The World and felt so-so about it.  Maybe a little too "gimicky" for me...?  I wanted to like it more.
