Hi I just wanted to know if anyone could give me a clue as to what could possibly be going on.  Not expecting diagnosis of course but i am just clueless.

 

I am 30 yr old, mother of 4 my youngest is 2yrs old and still nursing.  I have always had what I  consider to be my normal cycles (avg 34-44 days).  My last period was Dec13 on Jan1 (cd20) w/d was less than perfect but I didn't feel like it was a major oops.  My period didn't come when expected but i didn't really think I was pregnant. Once it was 10dys late I just said well I guess I must be pregnant because I've never  missed a period and not been pregnant.  I missed an OB appt last week so I finally went out and bought a test (family dollar brand- only $4 but the date on box was still good).  The test was negative.  In my gut i just don't feel pregnant, but i also am not in love with the idea of being pregnant again either, so I am wondering if I am just in denial of any symptoms I could be having and the test test was just defective?? 

My PP periods have always returned at 6-8months and continued.  I am nursing mostly at nite maybe once or twice during the day.  I would say that nite nursing has picked up alot in January, since DD has been more clingy.

All I have is an absent period no sore breasts or change in the appearance of my breasts which are always my sure sign.

 

Is there anything else medically that could be causing my period to be late or is it likely that the increased nursing suppressed O?
