Help me Replace my Magic Bullet please!

I used my Magic Bullet to make baby food purees with my first daughter, but it seems to be dying now....I smell burning rubber and it makes sounds that could wake the dead.  I would like to replace it with either the same thing, or maybe you clever mamas know of something better?  I know I could use my food processor or blender, but I like to have the option of doing a small batch as I need it... I typically make food for my 5 year old and then might just puree it my 7 month old.

Any suggestions or should I just get a new Magic Bullet?

Thank you!!

I love my MB. I haven't used any others, though.

lol - I read the title and though OH NO! I could never replace my magic bullet - because that is how I see nursing my DS! I was very relieved to read that you were actually talking about a Magic Bullet food processor, which of course can be replaced lol.gif. Phew!

Have you thought about a Beaba babycook?

I second the Beaba.  I got mine brand new off of craigslist for a great price ($75 for maker, book and accessories).

I use this immersion blender to make Daniel baby food: http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CSB-77-Blender-Chopper-Attachments/dp/B0006G3JRO. It has a plastic beaker type thing that holds 16oz of food and is just the right size for the blender to puree, and then pour into my silicone cubes. I also use it straight in the pot for soups, etc.

Magic Bullet has a new Baby Bullet I've been contemplating. I don't know anything about it though! I just used my mini-chopper thing with my big kids, but they didn't do a lot of purees, so it wasn't really a needed thing for us.

Thanks everyone!  I think I have figured out that my cross blade base is what the problem is, so maybe I could just replace that.....or just use the whipping blade.  I also like the look of the Beaba and that is BPA free which is a plus!
