Where to rent tillers?

I am wanting to get my garden bed ready before I get my seeds in.  I cannot find a place that rents tillers!!  Where in the world can I rent one?

We found one by calling around to local hardware stores. There were also a couple of rental businesses that rent out various tools, I'm sure we could have found one there. We found these places by looking in the yellow pages.

I also rented one through the local hardware store.

There is a place near me called Quality Rental that rents everything from party tents to snowblowers. We rented a tiller from them a couple of years ago. Local hardware stores are another place to look, but if all else fails, places like Home Depot and Lowes also rent tools. They even rent trucks for you to transport the big stuff in.

I rented a medium duty tiller from Home Depot and it was fairly reasonable at $24.95/day.

Why is it that you guys can rent from Lowe's and Home Depot and ours here won't do it. I've called in a 60 mile radius around me. NONE of them rent equipment. Just trucks. Ugh. I will look at some local hardware stores. I've got to tell ya, I'm getting a little frustrated and ready to call it quits.

I found mine by asking at the really, local, small town, cluttered hardware/feedstore. They didn't rent them out but were in the know and told me which hardware store had them.

Also, since then I've found a couple places that rent out equipment of all kinds (tools for building, garden/yard stuff, everything!), like, that's their whole purpose of being. We're a small city but there were a couple such businesses in the yellow pages. Maybe that's another option?
