anyone vaxed with pentaqok (sp?)

Did any of your babies receive this vaccine??  I was happy that i had delayed and spaced out her shots (she has had only 2 at 2 yrs old) and checked the insert for mecury/thimerosol (live in the Caribbean where rules are very flippant)....now i am having regrets as to how many were included in that one vaccine. I know a little after the fact.  With my older boys i was in the States so felt comfortable spacing and being selective.

She is due for the mmr and living in this part of the world i am not sure how long i should wait. Any advice. Most friends here have fully vaccinated for everything including one i have never even heard of that leaves a hole(almost) at injection site. bcg or something close to that?

Hmm, I don't know this one. What is it a vaccine against? I have heard of Pentawok but it is a pain killer.

Oh wait, could it be Pentavak? There's a lot in that vaccine. It's essentially DTaP plus hepatitis B I think.

BCG is a [live] vaccine for tuberculosis.  It leaves a scar.

Thanks so much for replies and link. It was as feared a few in one. I am angry that i didn't do my research before but just floated in the dr office and thought i was being informed by just getting one and waiting almost a year for the next. I had never heard of it but also didn't consider these multi vax. I will hold off on the mmr for sure now.     feeling guilty

Oh mama, don't feel guilty, a lot of us have been there! I still don't understand how I could have consented to the HepB vax for my dd while in the hospital. I feel like I should have educated myself about this topic beforehand.  We all make mistakes but we learn from them.
