Anyone know what's up with Tiny Tush?

Before baby #2 I purchased or was given 34 Tiny Tush Hemp One Size diapers.  I thought I had found the holy grail of cloth diapers.  I have been really happy with them...until recently.  Now a few of them have holes in the fabric around the snaps that attach the snap-in soaker to the diaper itself.  Over the last couple of months I have e-mailed and left a voicemail at Tiny Tush and have been ignored.   She finally sent me an e-mail just over a  week ago asking for a photo of the diapers after I called and asked her to call me back.  So, she's obviously gotten my previous e-mails because I didn't leave my e-mail address on my voicemail.   I sent her a photo but haven't heard back.  Now I'm really starting to get nervous because I found another diaper with holes in the same spot and a third diaper that is starting to tear around the snaps in the soaker.  Once I looked at the rest of my stash I found a bunch of them that are thinning around the snaps.  I called and left another voicemail today stating my concerns.  Anyone else have experience with these diapers or with Tiny Tush?  What should I do?

Hmm. That sucks! I have 2 of these diapers I bought from a friend. I haven't noticed anything around the snaps, but I'll look at them after the baby falls asleep (please please fall asleep! Lol) and let you know. Of course, since I only have 2 of them, they don't get an awful lot of use in rotation. But I'll check them out.

Please keep me posted!  Charlene at Tiny Tush has been responding to my e-mails since yesterday, but is saying that these holes must be from "normal wear and tear".  I've only been using them for 6 months and I don't use bleach or other harsh additives.  Plus, I only wash every 3 days!  Sorry for the rant. I'm just frustrated and I don't know what I'm going to do if these all fall apart.  Anyone else have experience with these?

hemp IS stronger when wet but I sorta agree with normal wear and tear too especially if it's a knit! try a gentle cycle? Im sorry that happened

i know gmd mention that with the workhorse diapers, you have to be really careful before washing as the prep washing tightens the weave (for cotton, not sure if hemp shrinks as much)

you might be able to use a snappi to ease the wear and tear.

Well, my 2 diapers are ok, but they don't get an awful lot of use. Did she give you any advice on how to prevent further holes?

Chel - What do you mean I need to be careful before washing?  Are you talking about when the diapers were new and I prepped them? All I did was wash them a bunch of times with my diaper detergent, ECOS Free and Clear.  Did I do something wrong there?  Are there specific things I need to do when I prep new diapers that I didn't do?

As for preventing further holes, Charlene hasn't offered any suggestions and it seems as there's nothing I can do at this point.  Every time I pull a load of dipes from the dryer I find at least one more with holes around the snaps.  It seems like the fabric is just really thin and won't hold up.  There's no way I can mend them without ripping the diaper apart, installing a patch and adding another snap.  I'm really frustrated at this point, and  I'm pretty convinced that it's their fabric that has the problem, not my laundering routine. I have 6 Hemp JoeyBunz doublers that have been in constant use for 4 years and, though they're not the prettiest things, they have certainly held together just fine.  So, it appears I am capable of caring for hemp.  As I said before, the fit on these is PERFECT and if they had held up I know for sure they would have lasted through my DD's entire diapering experience, and I was kinda hoping to use them for the next baby too.  Now I don't know what to do.  Charlene said that she's coming out with a hemp/cotton one-size diaper made from thicker fabric.  Makes me wonder if they've known about this problem for a while and are trying to cover that up so they don't have to pay to replace mine.  Hopefully you can help me figure out how to not ruin my next ones and I can gradually replace my current stash with the better quality version as mine fall apart.

I just meant that you had to be very gentle with the snap until fully prepped as the material is very loose. Not sure how much hemp shrinks and thus tighten around snap.
Which is kinda a pain as the diapers came all snapped up and it was only after I undid several before prepping that I noticed the note inside the diaper order.

I would guess that doublers would last longer as they don,t have the stress that snaps do.
