My name is Jessie and I am the proud aunt to my neice, Brianna, who is 22 months old.  Her and I do lots of stuff together whenever I babysit, including reading, playing with toys, watching Dora the Explorer, and going to the library.  My sister, Becky, is in the middle of potty training her, and so far, its going quite well (I think the Dora The Explorer potty seat has something to do with it LOL!).

I have two cats, and am currently in college to earn a medical billing and coding degree.  I am interesting in natural and alternative medicine, including reiki, reflexology, aromatherapy, crystal therapy, meditation, yoga, and homeopathy.  I enjoy doing cross stitch and knitting in my spare time (in between college homework). I am also very active in church and participate in a variety of church functions, such as United Methodist Women and choir.  Its nice to meet everyone!

I decided to join after they said on Facebook that the magazine was discontinued, because I still wanted to be around others who believed the same stuff I did about natural and alternative medicine, natural parenting, and homeschooling.  I don't have a child yet, but can't wait to practice all of the stuff I have learned in Mothering Magazine.
