New to Forums, Wondering About Abbreviations

Hi. This is my first time joining an online community, and as I've been browsing the forums I'm getting a little confused.  What do all the abbreviations mean?  (DS, DH, etc...)  Is there someplace that "translates" all of this?  Thanks!

DH, DS, DD, etc. all refer to family members, with "dear" before their designation. So, DH= dear husband, DS=dear son, DD=dear daughter. The D can actually mean any number of D words like dear, darling, dang, etc.

I wondered the same thing when I first started joining online forums but I never asked!! Luckily someone translated one and that helped me figure it out :)
