The "Instead Cup" method

Ok well for some reason I'm too embarassed to elaborate. If anyone knows what I'm talking about then.....well you'll know what I'm talking about! Have you ever tried the Instead cup method? Does it work? When exactly did you/do you put the cup in?

TIA!

I used the Instead Cup after BDing to hopefully help all the necessary fluids stay where they need to be (near the cervix).  What I would do is to lay on my back with my hips elevated for about twenty minutes after BDing.  And then, while still laying down, insert the Instead Cup (I highly recommend practicing beforehand, and it helps if you keep them in a bedside drawer so you don't have to move).  I don't know that it necessarily helped me get my BFP, but I can tell you that we did use them during the month that we got our BFP.  And I have a friend that tried for about eight months, and SWEARS that the Instead Cups are what did it for her.

I've also heard of an alternate Instead Cup method, that involves putting a...um... "deposit" directly into the instead cup, and inserting it already pre-filled.  Never tried that... it seems to take all the fun out of making a baby, if you know what I mean.  winky.gif

Oh, and I've also heard about women using Pre-Seed on the edges of the Instead Cup, I think just to make it easier to insert.  I never had a problem with CM, so I never tried that.

I hope I was able to answer some of your questions!
