Hib - rash

Hello all.

I have recently, partly due to this message board, decided against all vaccines. joy.gif However, my daughter did get 2 rounds of Hib; one was recently and she developed a light rash all over her body 7 days later. Dr said it was a virus and she would be getting a runny nose but she never did. My gut tells me it is from the vaccine. Also, she had a diaper rash at the time of the shot which exploded into "yeasty" rash that weekend (her shot was on a Thursday morning) but I had been using a butt paste from the doc that contained nystatin before it even blew up into the rash from the dark side. What do you parents think? Should I report it? What do they ask/what information do I need?

Thanks!

This link mentions Hib and rashes/hives. Have you read the manufacturer's insert?

No, I didn't. It may sound awful, but the truth is I was too afraid/confused at the time. I didn't even ask for it - I left the room and had DH hold her. Ugh, makes me absolutely sick just thinking about it. I was there to question if I should get her any vaccines and before I knew it, the needle was in the room...

I feel so awful that I let that happen - I am happy though that I have "woken up" and stayed that way (Thank you God)

Thanks for the link Emmeline.
