Hi, everyone,
Â
I was poking around online a bit ago and it does seem likely there will be a pro-circ announcement by at least one of the major US organizations revising the wishy-washy 1999 stance on RIC. That being the case, I just wanted to say to everyone else waging the good fight against the needless and painful mutilation of unconsenting children, PLEASE don't be discouraged!
Â
We are turning the tide by leaps and bounds. I began fighting RIC back in the Reagan years and trust me, the climate is so much more well informed and receptive today than it was a quarter-century and more ago. Things have changed, do change, are changing, and for the better. A couple I recently met who had no idea I am an intactivist happened to volunteer that they'd left their son, age seven months, intact, when "just a few years ago" they wouldn't have thought twice about circing! I was very happy, needless to say.
Â
Well, I won't take up too much more time here except to say that eventually we'll overcome the groundless custom of circing boys, and I sincerely hope everyone in the intactivist community keeps up the obviously great work that's being done on behalf of this cause!
Â
Never forget, we're winning!
