Non-Cake 1st Bday party Desserts!?

I'm having my boy's 1st birthday party tomorrow and I still don't know what to do for the dessert.  I've never liked the "give your baby a cake and watch them go nuts" tradition.  Plus, he's never really had sugar, wheat, or any grains (he just has fruit, all veggies, meat, some nuts and a little dairy.  No allergies, I just think the paleo diet is the healthiest, and he seems to love it.)

....so I just feel like I'd be giving him something that will most likely give him a stomach ache and make him feel like crap.  Dh kinda feels like I'm being the birthday grinch and in his family, it's almost as if you can't become another year older unless you have birthday cake.  :)

I need something that is decently healthy, fun, and that adults will like too.

I would LOVE some suggestions.  (quick!)  :)

 Thanks

Maybe a pretty fruit salad with some homemade whipped cream for him (I would suggest some yummy homemade granola crunchies too, but i see you don't do grains)?

A beautiful fruit tart for the visiting adults?

My boys first birthday is next week - we are vegan and he's never had wheat or sugar/sweeteners. My plan is to use the 'cream' from a can of full-fat coconut milk, melt it soft and then blend it with raspberries, pour it into a mold and refrigerate it until it firms up. Voila! Pink dessert! Garnished with whipped coconut oil (like frosting) and fresh berries.  =)
