Latex or silicone nipples?

Which do you prefer? I pumped for the first time today, and offered DD the expressed milk in a Playtex nurser that came with a latex nipple. Silicone nipples *look* better to me, but are they?

 

Btw. DD took the bottle like an absolute champ love.gif

I'd use a silicone nipple, mainly because the more you are exposed to latex as a infant, it increases your risk of having a latex allergy later in life.  I am allergic to latex and read this in a brochure published by the spina bifida association years ago.
