Leftover Pregnancy Tea Turned Lactation/Mother's Milk Tea? And Other Questions ...

I way overbought the herbs for my pregnancy tea (which I loved drinking every day). Can I use these for a lactation/mother's milk tea? I have red raspberry leaf, oatstraw and alfalfa -- and a ton of it! I'm kind of new to this whole make-your-own-herbal-tea thing. Can I use these three and add other related herbs? If I can't find a tea recipe that includes these three specific herbs, does that matter? Can I just add these in to any lactation tea recipe? I've read about some other herbs that are good for these teas -- borage leaves, dandelion leaf, nettle leaf, blessed thistle, fennel seeds. I don't want mix what shouldn't be mixed -- and I don't know if that's a possibility!

Also, what is lactation/mother's milk tea for -- healthy nursing, increasing supply, mother's health, baby's health? Can you drink it every day?

Thanks!

My impression was that RRL is not good for breastfeeding- don't remember the details, but that it dries up milk.  You might want to research that before you drink it after the baby is born.  I don't know about the others...

Good luck!

The red rasp may decrease milk supply when used for more than 2 weeks. The other 2 are good for lactation. I just did a herbs for lactation class and that's what it said.
