When did your babies finally stop spitting up??? My ds is now 7 months old, is mobile, doesn't really sit up yet except in a high chair. He eats solids so when he spits up often something is coming up with it. It smells like vomit. And because he's mobile now that means he is doing this everywhere he goes. There are days when I just don't want to leave the house because he'll vomit. When does this end??? Or is this a medical problem and I should consult our ped?

Sorry, that's not actually helpful. But my daughter was a HUGE spitter -- I can't recall for how long, though -- and at six years old she still has reflux.

One thing that struck me as odd is that your son's spit-up smells like vomit. DDs never did, even when she was eating solids. I'd get it checked out, but maybe I'm overly cautious. I wonder if some kind of intolerance is at work.

DS is 6 mo and is just now slowing down on the spit up. It's down to 3-4 times a day usually... Sometimes with solid food in it but 75% it's just breastmilk. Used to be he'd spit up 3-4 after every nursing.Â

If it smells like vomit, maybe you should talk to your ped... Does your LO seem bothered by spitting up?

He has slowed down a lot, but it just seems odd to me that he's still doing it. As for the vomit smell, I thought that was to be expected if he spits up after a solids&bf meal. He eats a LOT of solids (lunch & dinner) and snacks here and there throughout the day. And he still nurses a ton, too. Is he maybe just eating too much???
