My son just got dx with autism and  I just started a blog a week and a half ago. Sad thing is I have already been called in to our principals office for it. Such is life.. won't stop me writing and fighting for the rights of my ds.

I blog in spurts... I need to more here. I have two boys likely on the spectrum. My eldest is just in the process of an Asperger diagnosis and confirmation. ( Psych diagnosis needs to be confirmed by ped and occupational therapist) Lots about regular life too...

I have a 3.5 daughter with Down syndrome and started my blog hoping to inspire other parents to help their children with Down syndrome reach for the sky! My daughter was reading words, before she was 2 years of age & reading books by 3.5 years. I believe kids with Down syndrome can do amazing things if we give them the right tools. I truly believe high expectations can make a tremendous difference in the lives of our children!

I use my blog to process a lot of what I'm learning and struggling with regarding my DD's autism. She has a blog I keep for her as well, but I try to keep hers just to the facets and fun of her life. My blog isn't strictly about my DD's special needs, though. It's about me and my ruminations as well.
