Peeing every time potty is offered?

I just recently started being a little more vigilant with potty learning with my son, who is 18 months. We have part-time EC'd every since he was 1 month old, so, he has had potty awareness for a LONG time. He has gone through the typical stages of loving the potty, being ok with it and completely hating it- full-on potty strike included. Especially, around major milestones.

However, this past several days, I have kept him in pants only and went from 4 misses/accidents wednesday, to 3 misses/accidents yesterday and so far, only one today. Right now, he is only going from prompting and timing.

And this is the problem. I am now starting to notice that he is trying to pee EVERY time he is on the potty. Even if it is only a tiny bit. Should I back off on how often I offer it or is this not a problem? He even said pee earlier, so, I put him on the potty and he just went a tiny bit. I think he likes getting up and seeing it. I'm just concerned if this can cause any medical issues..... have any of you experienced this?

He knows what a potty is and what to do with it and so he tries to pee while he is there. I don't think that is an issue.

If my 18m daughter doesn't have to go she just wanders off.  If it has been a long time and her diaper is dry then I know she probably does have to go, I'll redirect and say let's go pee pee and if she has to go she will.
