I have this problem that just showed up a few days ago, and I can't figure out what's causing it. Under my left armpit, the skin is all flaky and peeling, and where it's peeled, the skin underneath is an angry red color. And it ITCHES. It ITCHES so that I'm

My first thought was an allergic reaction or something similar. So I took stock-- I haven't changed my laundry routine recently. I used diluted Dr. Bronner's to wash. I've used that for years. And I use a Tom's of Maine deodorant, which I've also used for years. I just sent the company an email to find out if they'd changed their formula recently-- but wouldn't it be both armpits, if I was sensitive to something in that<<br />
Plus-- and this is the awful part-- it smells. I get out of the shower, and in five minutes that one armpit already smells-- like sweat, I guess. Well, honestly, like body odor-- it smells like I'd never washed at all.
Does anybody have any idea what this is? It's now sort of sore, because I've been scratching it too much, plus the hair is starting to grow, and I'm afraid to shave it because I don't want to irritate it even more, so it's really getting gross under there....
