Okay so my cycles are around 33-34 days long. I usually get my first + OPK on CD 18....I think I O CD 20. I would like to get back to where my cycles used to be before I had a baby....I was always a a 28 or 30 day cycle.....O'ing on CD 15 or 16. Do you think it would mess up my cycle? I would really just like to O sooner. I am currently on CD 6, if I were to start when would I want to start it and how much would I want to take? I got the Natures way 400 mg.

I wouldn't. While vitex can lengthen a short LP, it can lengthen an entire cycle. It does have the potential to really throw things out of whack if it truly isn't needed. Last time I took it it delayed my O by 5 days

I totally agree with Peony.  And I have personal experience with it completely messing things up so I recommend avoiding it.

I didn't have any problems with vitex.  While it didn't really regulate my cycle, I did get pregnant the 3rd month of using it (just like everything says online).

My cycle has been 45-48 days since I gave birth to my DD.  It used to be 33 days, so I felt that breastfeeding was messing things up and wanted some help to regulate things.  While my cycle has still been LOOONG (with O on day 30 or so), I did manage to conceive.  I have no idea if the vitex really did anything.  :shrug

ETA:  My pp LP started at 5d and gradually increased to 14-15d.  Again, I don't know if this was the vitex, or would have happened on it's own.  My LP used to be 18d, so everything has been different lately!
