Swaddle sock/cocoon - NOT knit or crocheted, maybe out of jersey?

I was thinking of making a swaddle sock type deal, but I live in FL and would be using it during the dead of summer. The knit and crocheted kind are obviously out of the question...

 

does anyone have experience with these in another type of material? I was thinking knit jersey, but am open to suggestions, and Also thoughts on dimensions, etc.

jersey knit sounds good - also Bamboo comes to mind.  its a bit pricey (more than jersey knit)  but it is SO SOFT  - usually has a two way stretch and is thin, and silky soft.  I have gotten it on-line in the past - but JoAnnes might carry it now.
