Financial Progress

A few years ago our credit was destroyed.  I mean- bad doesn't begin to touch it.  It was largely medical debt, but also some credit cards we had both taken out in college and gotten in over our heads on.  Lots of hard work since then, and...

DH went to apply for financing on a car today (large down payment- well over 50% of the price- our choice, we don't want negative equity, but we do need a reliable car) and, though he was approved, they also approved him for far more.  Pulling the credit, it was excellent! We hadn't checked in a bit, and last we checked it was ok, but not great.

That's a really big deal, and it makes if feasible for us to look at homeownership in a couple years.  Again, we really want a good down payment saved first.
