Short Luteal Phase??

I am finally ovulating after having dd2 11 months ago. :) (A big thank you to exclusive BFing!) So, we are officially trying to get pregnant again. I began charting a few months ago in anticipation of ovulation (which I felt would be starting up soon). I have had two cycles since my first post partum period. Unfortunately, my period shows up only 4 days after ovulation. (Before I was pregnant with dd2, my Luteal phase or 2ww was 10 days.) I was surprised by this since I was on the mini pill after having dd1 and didn't even start charting to conceive until 19 months post partum! Could nursing be to blame for my EXTREMELY short Luteal Phase?? What else could be causing this? How long will I have to deal with this before it lengthens to my usual 10 day luteal phase? Is there anything I can do (besides weaning) to hurry this along? If I seem a little bit anxious, I AM!! :) Thanks in Advance!!!

Do you have your charts online that we can see? I'd be tempted to think you're not actually ovulating again yet, with such a short luteal phase, but rather having anovulatory cycles. But it's hard to say without knowing how your temps have gone.

Either way, I'm sure your cycle is being impacted by BFing, but I'd think that now that AF has returned that it will regulate itself on its own without you needing to wean.
