If only it were a couple of years down the road. I'm planning on going into midwifery when my children are older.

The midwifery laws in Oregon are very supportive of homebirth. There has been some recent lobbying to have our current laws changed to mandate licensure for all practicing midwives.( House Bill 2380) However, many supporters of out of hospital birth wrote to their representatives and attended the hearing against this bill. As of now, it has been put aside!!!
