4 week old and I have head colds

For me, normally I would take sodium ascorbate (vit c) to bowel tolerance and take a tincture containing echinacea, goldenseal, eyebright, nettles and yarrow to tackle the brewing sinus infection. Is this still okay to do? I'm most concerned about the Vit C and knowing when he's gotten enough/too much through my milk. He had a massive huge blow out a couple hrs ago and I wonder if that was normal or him hitting BT? His congestion seems to be a bit better since (but we also had to take a shower to clean up, it was that bad, so the steam could have helped).

And for him? He can still nurse okay, during the night after he'd been sleeping for a couple hrs he was more stuffy. Breastmilk up the nose? Bulb syringe? Any essential oils safe? (for putting in the steam of the shower or something, not on his skin).

When DS was only nursing, no solids, me taking vitC to bowel tolerance was great for managing his colds, I actually didn't have to do anything else for him.  We never had a mismatch between the amount I took and the amount he got nursing, though, so I can't speak to that part.  I guess I'd say start writing things down and see if you see a pattern.
