My son has hypotonia. I've been observing him very closely this week and have discovered that his motor control is very uneven. He can walk and run pretty well (though still wide-stanced), can crawl on all fours, go down stairs one step at a time, throw and catch a ball, but cannot walk up stairs (he crawls) or chew food with his molars (he mashes it with his front teeth and tongue). He also cannot lift his head while lying on his back. He has to use his arms and elbows to lift his whole torso; he cannot just bend his neck and lift his head. He also cannot remove any items of clothing, and obviously can't put any on.

He's 30 months old. His PT thinks he's only a little delayed, I'm thinking he might need a new PT.

Thoughts?
