I'm reading The Mindful Child right now. Our son is a energetic mix of anxiety/overexcitabilties/sensory issues/quirks/what have you.
I'm really enjoying it, though, I am not a particularly mindful or contemplative person myself, so I am struggling with how to incorporate the ideas into our daily lives. A lot of it feels like the same types of cognitive behavioral stuff I did for anxiety a decade ago or so...
But, our son would benefit. I would benefit. My partner would benefit.
What should we be doing next? Are there other books you've enjoyed? Picture books? Bedtime stories? Activities?
