Short Crust questions...

I have a sweet short crust dough that I like to use for various things, how long is it safe in the fridge?  It's just butter, flour and sugar.

Anyone have a savory short crust dough recipe?  I don't really have the counter space (or the time) to roll out pastry dough (which is why I like short crust - I can just press it in), but I'd love to be able to make some savory tarts/quiches.

I usually use crusts that you roll out, so I am no help there. My pastry crust I keep in the freezer up to three months, in the fridge for about a week, well wrapped. To make your crust savory just add savory components. We made a vegetable pot pie, that I found here-  http://www.plantfoodfabulous.com/2010/12/vegetable-pot-pie.html We loved the garlic parmesan flavor of the crust. It was the best part. Maybe you can adapt it to your recipe?
