Adding a 3rd kid

Thread Starter

Hi,

I currently have a 6 year old and a 4 year old, and am a full time teacher and a Pampered Chef Consultant.  My husband and I have been thinking about having another baby.

Those that have added the 3rd, was it crazy?

I am thinking of not going back to teaching once I have the 3rd.

we have three, ages 7, 3 and 1. going from 2 to 3 was CRAZY, but amazing! i have more kids than i have hands, and that can be a challenge when we are out. we had to buy a van beacause i could not fit 3 car seats in my car. we had to buy bunk beds, because we only have 3 bed rooms. that said, i also have more hugs than i have room in my heart for, i love my van so much, i would replace it with a new van if i had to get a new car, and my kids think that the bunk bed is awesome! the dynamic totally changes with a third. they are a "team" not a pair. my kids spent hours playing together, and the age differences are never an issue. if you chose to have a third, i would think it would be very hard to return to work. in order to wash, dress, feed, love on and comfort three kids, you need more hours in the day! even though my oldest can shower and dress herself, she still needs me. she needs me to "help" her sometimes, just because the boys are always getting my help. it has to be a conciouse effort to  give three the time they need, but oh so worth it!

2 to 3 was easy for me, not so much for DH. It has been a lot of added work, I am pg with #4 so obviously not enough to scare me! I often feel like a mama duck with her ducklings trailing behind when I am out though.
