KSDoula, What a frustrating situation to be in.  When you budget something and then it doesn't come through how you expected is just an awful feeling.  Is the donor who is leaving for Korea also your daughter's donor?

Brite, I couldn't help laughing at you story.  It is a bright side that you don't have to tell that story to your kid one day.  I wish I knew of a bank that offered lots of AA donors (ok, the bank closest to me, criobio, only has 2.  That's about how many european sperm bank has.).

Indigo, I'm testing tomorrow, I guess.

Escher, I saw you in the November DDC, you rocking them both or hanging in November?  If I get to join there, there will be 3 queer families?  Plus all the other BFPs we're going to get this month?

18 dpo and nothing polite to report.  Bowels came unplugged and now I seem to be walking around in a gas cloud.  I overate a couple of days ago and I'm still paying for it.

Yes, he is the donor who helped us have our daughter. We would really like for our second child to have a genetic link to her and we absolutely love him (he is a good friend of ours.) He is totally happy to do whatever he has to do in order to help us get pregnant again, but we can't exactly ask him not to move! He has a life too, ya know?

Also... 18 dpo and you haven't tested yet? No AF? That is a really good sign...

2ez~ Please move me to waiting to O. I started my follistim last night...150 per day from day 3-9. Did you get moved up to 150 or is it more that you are taking no? any side affects?

AmandaMom: I'm so sorry that cycle didn't work. What a total disappointment. I know that sometimes breaks can be wonderful and healing and other times they can be incredibly hard. I hope that this break somehow feels ok even though I know it isn't really what you want.

Gelly: How is the follistim treating you so far?

Seraf: I have everything crossed for you! I can't say I'm currently rocking any due date club (I'm too tired for that), but I'm equally stalking October and November so far. I would LOVE to be in November with you!

Carmen: I'm sorry you have to wait for your CD3 bloodwork. I'm glad you still have time to get that done before you're planning to start trying.

Brita: What an awful situation! I'm glad you're moving on from that. I hope you're able to find a terrific donor soon! Thanks for asking about how I am doing. The pregnancy seems to be going fine so far, and I'm sick most of the time (which I appreciate as a good sign even though it is unpleasant). I have another ultrasound in about a week, and we'll hopefully be able to see the heartbeat then.

Smilingsara: Not too long now until you and Seraf will both be pregnant!

Happycalm: I hope your insem went well today!

AFM: My wife seems to have the flu, so I'm trying to be nice to her while also trying not to get a fever myself. I'm ready to hop in a cold shower if my temperature goes up at all, and I've heard I can safely take tylenol if needed, but so far I'm ok.

KSDoula: forgive me as I'm in a little bit of a miscarriage fog and I may not have understand your challenge properly but...we have disability here in California that pays full salary for pregnancy leave and I had just started looking into this. I know you don't really want to pay for something that might be covered for free under your wife's coverage but...it might be worth looking into independent short term disability insurance, such as through Afflac. They usually don't cost very much money and you would really only have to wait one month (or maybe not at all depending on when you really wanted to start trying). The policy states you can't have a birth within 10 months of getting the policy which prohibts you from getting it the day you find out you're pregnant. But if you got it now, you could get prenant within 30 days or more and be okay. You'd have to do the cost analysis (against the cost of waiting to get the free insurance or paid) but it is a thought. I have a similar challenge as I just went through open enrollment and didn't even think to get the proper insurance so now I'm stuck.

Rainbow: Two words for you. Thank. God. With all that's gone on for you guys, maybe it's best to move on anyway and this is just the higher power giving you some very strong signals. I know it's painful to put it on hold but again, for all you've gone through already, it might be worth it.

AFM: the miscarriage came on pretty quickly. I've been laid up with pain but given some others experience in my support group, I know what to expect so I already wrangled some Vicodin. Just one helped for the whole day and I've been appreciative. We feel strongly we get can pregnant again and are trying to see the light at the end of the heartbreak tunnel and are lining up next steps. My HCG levels went down from almost 10,000 to 5,000 which is great too. Hopefully 0 isn't too far away.

escher dont worry to much about fever really its long high fevers that are an issue i had the flu and a cold with a low gradeb100ish twice first and second tri with DS

afm   i feel like AF will be hear soon and am looking into donors for next time monday when again i should be working i wil test again tommorw i think just for fun but rall bfn 12dpo

Insem. went well today.  Ovulation was not so noticeable today as in past ttc cycles.  I'm hoping that's actually good thing because I'd like to not obsess about every single tweak and twinge in my body over the next 2 weeks.  But maybe that's not possible?

Woke up early at Sara's folks. 2 lines! The test line showed up before the control line and Sara thought I thought it was negative so she was reassuring me that it was positive. I emailed the kids(via my ex) and told them they called it. Told them yesterday I thought was and that we would develop a code to let me know if I'm being mean. They laughed.

Happycalm: I'm glad that the insem went well. I think it is hard not to obsess. For me I find it easier to try to ignore any signs before about 6dpo, just because I find that if I look for them I ALWAYS see signs everywhere.

Krista: Vicodin is smart! I'm sorry you're in pain. I hope that it doesn't last too long. I'm glad that your hcg is already heading down.

Brite- California Cryobank has 10 African-American donors: http://www.cryobank.com We use them because they have a handful of Korean donors.
