March chat thread - Page 6

ok, THANK YOU lovingmommy...lol, now I've GOT to peruse etsy today! lol  those are GORGEOUS.

OMG you guys. I've been pretty small this pregnancy, which is really unusual for me. My belly is usually HUGE. I blamed it on my prolapse, and the fact that things were just more settled in there. Anyways, Wed. was a Portland day, so I was exhausted yesterday and slept a ton. I felt kind of funny too...so was paying attention. When dh and I went to get in the shower (we still shower together 12 years later ) he started LAUGHING at me and then pointed! I was like dude, I KNOW I haven't shaved...but come on! But it was my belly! It literally doubled (literally...I measured!) in 1.5 days. Now I'm HUGE! lol No wonder I felt funny!

Yay, Jilly! Are you less prolapsed now, do you think? I hope so!

Also, yay Portland! :D And giant bellies! I need to measure mine!

thanks Becky!  I think I might be...hard to tell.  Def. less pressure though.  My ob said he wasn't sure if it's because I've taken it really easy or if it's actually getting better, so to keep taking it easy till we know for sure.  I hope it's up, because I want at least a few weeks of being able to accomplish things before it gets worse again!

It's 2:06 on a friday afternoon.  I am so ready to start the weekend.  I have no interest in working and would much rather be reading threads, cleaning the bedroom or planning a registry....I hope no one minds a vent.

Today is chore day and I'm behind so I'll certainly be sneaking on here to take breaks ;) Chat away! Please! Don't leave me here alone with nothing but dusty bunnies and a vacuum to fill my day! ;)

Does that picture make anybody else's uterus flip flop? HaHa...sooooo cute.

I've been looking at diaper systems all day.

I just realized that, though I'm reading a story with no babies in it, I'm picturing cute little baby butts.

Is it August yet??

I know, I'm dying of anticipation!  I went to a Baby Signs workshop this morning, it was pretty cool!  My boyfriend was surprisingly excited about it too.  I can't wait to meet my baby :)

Lovingtmommyhood,

That set is tooo cute. I've been wanting to look at Etsy to pick up a couple things- especially a cute hat or headband for newborn pics. But I know if I start looking, I may end up spending all day on Etsy and do some damage to my checking account.

Ha!  We are so close yet so far!

DD keeps saying things like, "Hug the new baby now?" like she's impatient too, and it isn't helping!  Haha.

We got our new car.  OMG ladies, it's fabulous!!  We showed the IL's last night (kept the operation on the DL b/c we wanted to shock them) and boy were they surprised.

AFM-- Starting to get annoyed at rude comments from ppl, as you all read my FB and what not.  People assuming that I'm having twins and that I'm too stupid to know, and crotchety old ladies telling me I need to stop eating "so much" really need to be smacked upside the head.  It burns me up for a few reasons.  #1 how is that not a rude thing to say to anyone, let alone a hormonal pregnant woman, and #2 if a woman can't even gain a few pounds when pregnant, when growing a life inside her WHEN THE HELL CAN SHE??  I mean, really? Srsly people don't think before they open their mouths!  And I love all of the comments I got back on my status b/c they really give me strength.  And this was on a day when I was actually really bumming about my weight -- but it gave me strength to realize no, I'm falling into traps that society has set for me.  I'm a gorgeous pregnant woman, truly enjoying my body changing and growing with life, and nobody is going to make me feel bad for it.

Ok, off my soapbox now.  /endrant

Congrats on the car Carrie!

I've gotten the "OMG, are you sure there is only one is there!" comments as well. None on weight gain, good, I have gained 20 lbs already. I felt better after Thursday because I ran into a mom at DD2's dance class, I've been thinking she was due any day, because she is to the busting out of all maternity clothes point. I never say anything or ask usually. She came up to me, turns out she is due in June! Poor thing, I can only imagine the comments she gets. My belly has settled down some, I don't feel like I've grown much in the last month so now it appears more normal then it did 1-2 months ago.

Love the car!!

I don't mind people wondering how many babies I'm making - I'm certainly larger than the pictures of the people having twins at this point! It's something I've certainly wondered, looking in mirrors ;) I just list all the reasons I'm pretty sure I'm not, look  down in horror and then say I wouldn't mind if I was.

I have NOT had anyone talk about my weight, though. I'd just eat them, anyway. Or cal them very rude names. Little old lady or not, a simple "why the $#*% would you think it's reasonable to say that to someone??" is a good response, imo ;)

I had a lot of trouble sleeping. Ugh. Weird dreams (but mine are always like this) and I didn't see the chiro this week. I was feeling so good, why should I have to go every week? Oooh.. because if I don't, my arms go numb. Riight. Sigh.

Plus suddenly it's not as comfy to lay on my back and even my right side. Wah.

Wow that's almost unheard of Carrie! No offense to New Jersey (since you are obviously a very nice person) but when I used to work in a call center, every time someone called and immediately started yelling and using profanity...they were always from New Jersey. I always assumed everyone that lived there is really mean =/

On another note, I'm super jealous of your new car!

LOL, if it were a stranger, I'd have no problem giving a piece of my mind, but old crotchety clients that are regular and tip well...sigh.  it's harder to tell them off.

Sleeping is a chore as of late for me too!  ugh, I almost dread bedtime b/c I know I'll wake up to either pee, tend to DD, shove DH for snoring, or all the above.  It's like running a marathon all night long.

biglaugh.gif  This has me cracking up!!  Haha!!  Jersey people are generally nice -- you and I must attract the rude ones!!

OMG IS IT TUESDAY YET?!!  I'm starting to think baby is just going to hide the goods so... I'm trying not to get excited.  Nora hid her bits at the 20 week u/s.  I was devastated and I don't want to be let down if we can't find out.  Keep thinking spread eagle vibes for me, ok ladies?  Mama needs to know!!

I can't keep up with this thread but just wanted to chime in and say awesome car, babycakes!  Congrats!  Also - you look ALL BABY, so I don't think it's the weight gain :)

I really hope this baby is as "shy" as me and Dusty - we'll get a good look at the goods that way ;)

I'm really afraid we won't get to know, too! Gah. If we don't see, then we just have to wait, though. I can't see doing another ultrasound just for that. Money plus as much as the little one hates the doppler, I know ultrasound can be worse so I wouldn't do that.

*twitch*

Of course, I'm getting the normal ultrasound and then the lovely dildo one because they want to see how my right ovary is. It was really big at the first ultrasound. So, we'll have an extra angle to try to access BabyCrotch! :D

I have decided that if this baby is "shy" on Tuesday that I will assume it's a girl.  My dd1 never let us see what she was (and I had five ultrasounds that pregnancy).  Everyone else I know who had a shy baby ended up with it being a girl too.  I think it's easier for the girls to hide their parts than it is for the boys to hide theirs.

This is the only pregnancy where I have been so eager to know the gender.  Tuesday just can not get here fast enough.

I had my first maternity focused photo shoot the other day!  I even got promotional rights, so I get to have the images!

We did some cute implied nudes, and a few in dresses, so my family can see my work, for once.  My husband even jumped in for a few shots. I did pull something in back, from sticking my still smallish tummy out for pictures.

I chomping at the bite to start buying things, but I know it is too early, and we don't have the money.  My husband did say I could buy a coming home outfit, once we know the gender.  I think I am going to invite some friends, and make a bit of a day of it!

Two more weeks until the u/s!!!
