Nursing Mamas TTC March - Page 9

finsmom: sorry to give you the totally wrong advice! I have no idea how the vitex will work for me, since I still haven't o'd but once I do, I'll be curious to see what my lp is compared to before.

mayasmama88 : I don't think it's sad you don't know how to chart, everyone's got to learn sometime! I would recommend getting Taking Charge Of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. That's where I learned to chart, and it was invaluable at helping me understand  my cycles and conceive quickly, although they were definitely easier to understand before I started nursing!

So last night I thought I saw some blood, but it wasn't bright and not really red, either.  More like a purplish-red.  Then I was just spotting brown again, and I only see some pinkish/purplish-red when I check my cervix.  I am certain AF will be here later tonight or tomorrow.  It's just bizarre to me that I can never tell what might = pregnancy since I have irregular cycles.  I also don't know whether my cervix is truly open at any point in the cycle since a woman who has given vaginal birth previously always has a slightly open cervix, KWIM?  It was so much easier to track my cycle while TTC#1.  Plus, when I was pregnant with DD, the only "symptoms" I had were the same as PMS symptoms I'd had many other times.

*sigh*  I want my baby to be a Big Sister by the time she is 3 (just turned 2), if possible!  orngtongue.gif

Never mind.  Bleeding has commenced. irked.gif

At least I made myself feel better by using my Swagbucks to order some things on Amazon:

  • 40 ovulation test strips & 10 early pregnancy tests by Wondfo
  • 7 Clearblue Easy digital ovulation tests & 1 digital pregnancy test

I only had to pay $3.00 after all my gift card codes.  thumb.gif

After some reading, I've decided I could use the cheapie OPKs to look for a surge, and then use the digital OPKs to "confirm" ovulation when it looks like the cheapies are showing ovulation also.  LOL.  Guess I need to start temping tomorrow too since I didn't bother this morning.  I'm also taking 1600mg of Maca daily + vitamin B-6 plus a prenatal.

Man, I forgot how much fun this can be!  Then again, it can be pretty gut-wrenching too.  dizzy.gif

filiadeluna, sorry about AF!  That is sooo awesome that you got all of that for only $3, though!!!  Now you're totally ready to pwn this cycle!  I have about 45 Wondfo PTs calling my name from the bathroom cabinet...I. Must. Resist.

Finally, after being 2 weeks late with negative beta test, AF arrived in full force last night. I can now be switched over to Waiting to O.

AimeeBaby, thank you for the book recommendation! I've actually heard of that book before. My midwife recommended it to me during my last appointment with her. I suppose I should check it out!

Cindy~ Had a consult with a infertility dr and then stupidly paid for clomid since i was going to do the clomid challenge test when i got af lol.  Dh thought it was pretty funny that it happened like last time when we went to seek medical help and turned out we were already pregnant. Still not out of the wood yet though since i lost the last baby at 9-10wks and then the loss before the baby passed at 8wk range. I have another ultrasound with the infertility dr tomorrow to check growth.

I'm thinking good thoughts for you! DH and I have an appt w/a fertility specialist next week. Found out DH has a low count, on top of my low progesterone issues. But hopefully we'll work out a plan and get this taken care of!

We found out last Friday that we are pregnant!!!! So we can be moved from the 2WW!!! YAY! Our due date is around the beginning of Dec. but I am telling everyone Christmas so we don't have to deal with the questions and pressure to conform to a "due" date!! LOL! Thanks so much!

Hello everyone! Please add me to the list for waiting for the first PP egg. :) I am 14 months past the birth of my son and still no period. I would greatly appreciate any advice and support! :) I nurse him quite a bit... he cries for it and I can not refuse him. He has been sick for a week and its been non-stop day and night. :(

Hello once again! I am happy to be here and hoping for that PP egg to arrive!!

Sorry, mama, no advice, but I'm right there with ya! DD is 17 months, still no PPAF. She's teething right now so the last few days she's literally wanted to nurse just about every 1 - 2 hours. I think she's starting to feel a bit better because today wasn't so awful (of course, we were outside playing for a good part of it, too). I'm trying to partially night-wean her, which WAS going pretty well...... and then she started teething. Ugh! Here's some good thoughts that your AF comes sooner than mine will!

I am on day 5 of my second pp menses and remembering why I never liked them :( We have been open to TTC this whole time, but not actually DTD and TTC--I think that I am going to suggest seriously TTC this coming cycle. I had a 44 day first cycle and always tended towards 30+ days cycles pre-motherhood, so, hopefully I will e doing the 2WW in April ;) A January baby sounds good ;)

Well, FF gave me crosshairs this morning! Can I be moved to the TWW? Woohoo, now to keep myself distracted from how pregnant vs. not pregnant I feel depending on the moment. How long do others here wait to test? I'm tempted to say I'll wait until I'm late but I'm pretty sure since I have like 20 cheapo tests that I'll start on 10 DPO.

OdinsMommy- Our DS's have the same birthday, it would be pretty cool to end up in the same DDC!

SocaliMommy- Did you have another appointment? I've got my fingers crossed that there is more great news!

Congrats jkseawell! I like your due date response, it's so frustrating when people start asking at like 38 weeks "when are you finally going to have that baby?"

Welcome mamaharrison I hope your stay is short!
